Processing your meeting… 3 tasks identified. ✅ Reviewed and created.

The problem

Slack Is Where Your Team Talks. But Decisions
Still Disappear.

Your team runs on Slack. Conversations happen fast. Decisions are made in huddles, threads, and quick calls. But when the call ends, the follow-through fades.
Someone types a quick note. Someone else says they’ll handle it. A third person doesn’t realize they were assigned anything at all. By the next morning, the thread has scrolled past, and the work that was agreed on sits in no one’s task list.
This is the Slack follow-up gap.

It’s not that your team doesn’t care. It’s that Slack was built for communication, not execution. Messages move fast. Tasks don’t. And the longer a decision sits without a proper home — a project, an owner, a due date — the more likely it is to vanish.

AI summaries don’t solve this either. They can recap what happened, but they can’t route the work to the right person in the right project. That last step is where everything breaks.

How it works

How TALK-to-TASKS Works With Slack

No new tabs. No switching apps. No training required. The entire meeting-to-task workflow happens where your team already communicates.

1

Drop a Recording

Paste a Zoom, Google Drive, or Dropbox link into your Talk Group’s Slack channel. The system picks it up automatically.

2

Tasks Are Extracted

AI processes the meeting and identifies real action items — decisions, follow-ups, deadlines, and ownership. Not a transcript dump.

3

Review & Route

Before anything is created, you review each task. Adjust wording, confirm the owner, pick the project, set the due date.

4

Tasks Post to Slack

Approved tasks are created in your workspace and posted back to the Slack thread. Your whole team sees who owns what.
TALK-to-TASKS doesn’t flood your channels with noise. It doesn’t post half-formed tasks that someone needs to clean up. And it doesn’t skip the human review that separates real work from AI-generated clutter.

Talk Groups

The Talk Group — Your Slack Channel's New Superpower

A Talk Group is the engine behind the integration. When you create a Talk Group inside TALK-to-TASKS, it connects directly to a dedicated Slack channel. That channel becomes the place where meetings are submitted, tasks are generated, and results are posted — all automatically.
Any team member pastes a recording link into the channel. The system picks it up, processes the meeting, and extracts the real action items. Once you review and confirm the tasks inside the App, every task is posted back into the Slack thread tied to that Talk.
Every meeting has a single, traceable thread in Slack. Your team can scroll back and see exactly what was decided, who was assigned, and where each task was created.
Different teams, departments, or clients can each have their own Talk Group with its own Slack channel. Each operates independently with its own routing rules, project destinations, and assignment logic.

The difference

The Review Step That Keeps Slack Clean

One of the biggest problems with automation tools that connect to Slack is the noise. Bots posting constantly. Summaries no one reads. Task lists that pile up without context.

TALK-to-TASKS avoids this entirely because nothing gets posted to Slack until you’ve reviewed it.

After a meeting is processed, you see the extracted tasks inside the App. You can adjust the wording, change ownership, add a due date, pick the right project, and remove anything that isn’t actually actionable. Only after you approve does the system create the tasks in your workspace and post the results back to the Slack thread.

This means your Slack channel only receives confirmed, reviewed tasks. Not raw AI output. Not transcript dumps. Not summaries that create more work than they save.

The review step is what makes this sustainable. Without it, Slack automation becomes another source of clutter. With it, every post in your channel represents a real commitment that’s already been routed to the right place.

You’ve seen how the flow works. Now here’s why teams that run on Slack are making the switch.

Why teams switch

Why Slack Teams Choose TALK-to-TASKS Over Other Meeting Tools

Other tools summarize. Other tools transcribe. Some even generate task lists. But none of them post reviewed, routed tasks back into the Slack thread where the meeting was submitted.

Zero Tool-Switching

The entire flow starts and ends in Slack. Paste a link, review in the App, results post back to the channel.

Full Context in Every Thread

Each meeting gets its own thread with every task linked. Scroll back anytime to see what was decided.

Department-Level Separation

Sales, Product, Support, Engineering — each gets its own Talk Group and Slack channel with independent routing logic.

No Slack Noise

Only reviewed, approved tasks appear in your channels. No bots flooding your workspace with raw AI output.

Automatic Notifications

The moment tasks are created, your team sees them in Slack. No one has to go looking for what they owe.

Fits your stack

Works With Your Existing Setup

If your team already uses Slack with Notion, the combination becomes even more powerful. Tasks created through TALK-to-TASKS land in the correct Notion project while simultaneously being posted in your Slack channel. Your Notion workspace stays clean. Your Slack stays informed. Both tools do what they’re best at.
And if you don’t use Notion, that’s fine too. TALK-to-TASKS can export tasks via Excel or email, with Monday.com, Asana, and Trello integrations coming soon.
The Slack integration works regardless of your downstream tool. The channel is the starting point. Where the tasks end up is entirely your choice.
